Our Sara Errani travels towards her second event within the Far East WTA Tour and stops by the 2016 Wuhan Premier Tournament to face Strycova in R1
Our warrior Sara Errani spent 7 of the last 48h in Guangzhou playing on court, fighting for every single point and turning upside down her match against Han. Unfortunately, she didn’t manage to come back from a major disadvantage again in R16.
Sarita gets back from a double break (2-5) in the first set against Victorija Golubic, neutralising multiple set points and forcing the tie-break. The Swiss tries to finish it off but once again is our warrior who pushes her back to find her way to the second set. Despite the shock for the incredible comeback, the Zurich-born bounces back and starts hitting again; this time succeeding in levelling the match and finally capitalizing her advantage in the third set. Final score: 7-6(7), 3-6, 4-6.
Let’s move along in our Far East journey then, and stop by the region of Hubei, where lies the beautiful Yangtze River and its most populated city: Wuhan. Its sports venue, the Optical Valley Tennis Centre, will host a Premier Tournament, whose draw has been just released. Our Sara Errani will face the Czech Barbora Strycova – 7 career wins, of which the latest 2 within the current season: Dubai Finals (6-0, 6-2) and Olimpycs R32 (6-2, 6-2).. The match has been scheduled on Monday around 3pm local time on Court1
