Here we go again! Our Sarita Errani is ready to get back on tour for the second part of the American hardcourt season. Right after the little stop on clay in Bucharest and Bad Gastein that worthed Sara a Singles ranking upgrade (+3), other than a final and a semifinal, we are on our way to the New World, eager to compete into Toronto’s WTA Premier5.
The n.1 of Italy will be the only female player into Rogers Cup‘s Singles main draw accredited with a seed (n.15) – since Maria Sharapova has withdrawn due to a leg strain. She will face Kristina Mladenovic (WTA’s n.38) in 1st Round. Match record favours the French with a 1-0 lead obtained in Fed Cup’s R1 played on indoor clay this year.
Also, our Sara Errani decided to join forces with another former n.1 and step back into Doubles competition for this Canadian Premier – since their last success against Team USA in Fed Cup (HIGHLIGHTS) – with Flavia Pennetta. They will face the Russian Kudryavtseva/Pavlyuchenkova team in 1R.
