After reaching the Barcelona final in doubles, Sara did the same in singles. In the semifinal she had little trouble with Carla Suarez Navarro: 6-1, 6-2. Sara started the match well, and took a 5-0 lead. The next 6 games were all breaks, up to 6-1, 2-2. In her next two servicegames, Sara managed to hold, while she broke Suarez Navarro twice more, thus taking the set 6-2.

In the final, Sara will play against Dominika Cibulkova. They met 6 times before, and Cibulkova leads the head to head 4-2, including two wins last year.

The final will be played at 1pm tomorrow, and will be followed (after suitable rest) by the doubles final.
