Sara is in the quarterfinals in Charleston after wins over Kiki Bertens and Shuai Peng. In the 2nd round Bertens had to retire after Sara won the first set 6-3. The second round was a lot tougher. There were breaks back and forth, and Sara had to save a set point in both sets, but took them both in a tie break.

Her quarterfinal opponent will be either Belinda Bencic or Elina Svitolina.
