Our warrior Sara Errani gets a major victory in Guangzhou Open 2016 first round over the Chinese Han at the end of a 3-hour battle.
Not really the easiest debut for our warrior, who overcomes her Chinese opponent and brings home the victory at the end of a 3-hour battle in the Canton region.
Following a stressing rush towards Rio de Janeiro’s Olympic Games and a tough first round loss at the US Open 2016 in New York City, Sara Errani took a few free days in order to rest before heading to the Far East.
She could have never thought of a better choise, because today, on her Guanghzhou Open 2016 debut, Sarita found herself caught in a ferocious fight against the home favourite Xinyun Han – currently n.116 in world rankings – and had to bounce back after 5MPs before forcing her way through a killer tie-break in the third set. Final score: 4-6, 7-5, 7-6(7).
Our Sara Errani will now face the 23-year-old Victorija Golubic for a spot into quarterfinals. The match has been scheduled tomorrow not before 7pm local time on Centre Court, as the Queen of Dubai will try to go for seconds, following the latest win against the Swiss played during Bastad’s Open (7-6(6), 6-1).
