Our Sara Errani flies Far East to start the last part of the 2016 WTA Tour season by competing in the Guangzhou Open, China.

Another major event of the 2016 WTA Tour has just finished, as Flushing Meadows and its US Open shut its doors and wave goodbye to its worldwide fans.

Following a short stay in New York and an unfortunate first round elimination against the American Shelby Rogers, our Sara Errani will start in China by competing for the Guangzhou Open title. Last year, she went off to a great performance by reaching a stunning semifinal – the sixth of the season – over the home favourite Saisai Zheng.

This year, our warrior will be the top ranked player in Singles draw; her first best opponent will be Jelena Jankovic, who came out as the champion of the 2015 edition of the tournament. Sarita will debut in the Singles main draw against the Chinese Xinyun Hancurrently the n.116 player in world rankings. The match will be played on Tuesday, not before 7pm (local time) on Centre Court.
