Acapulco 2012: Both Singles and Doubles finals!

Italian tennis player Sara Errani return

Sara made two finals in Acapulco! She won her semifinal in both singles and doubles yesterday. In singles, she played against her best friend, Roberta Vinci. The start of the match was really tough for Sara, and Vinci took a 4-2 lead, with Sara serving. That game was really tough, but Sara won it, and it was the first game of 7 in a row that she won. With those games, she took a 6-4 3-0 lead. At that point, Vinci won one more game, but Sara took the match 6-4, 6-1. After the match, she said:

“It took me a while to get my rhythm, but by the end I was happy with how I played. I don’t think it was the best tennis from either of us – it’s always hard playing a friend, but of course I’m happy to reach the final.”

A few hours later, Sara and Roberta played their doubles semifinal, against Cornet and Begu, which they won 6-4, 6-2. In the final they will play against the Spanish team of Dominguez Lino and Parra Santonja.

In the singles final, Sara will play a fellow Italian again, Flavia Pennetta. They have played 4 times before, and Pennetta leads the series 3-1.
