With a comfortable win over Alexandra Cadantu, Sara made the semifinal in Palermo. Sara’s start of the match was little slow, but from 2-2 on, she won 4 games in a row to take the first set 6-2. The second set started with some breaks back and forth, but from 3-2 on, Sara held serve, while Cadantu still struggled. In the end Sara won 6-2, 6-2.

In the semifinal, Sara will play against Irina-Camelia Begu. The last time they played was in the first round in Barcelona, earlier this year. Sara won the match and went on to win the tournament, but it was her closest match of that week.
