The draws for the China Open in Beijing have been released. Sara plays Chinese wildcard Shuai Peng in the first round. They have met once before, in Rome (on clay) in 2008, and Sara won that match in 3 sets. If she beats Peng, Sara will meet first seed Caroline Wozniacki, who has a bye in the first round, in the second round.

In doubles, Sara is back with Roberta Vinci, and their draw is very much like the singles draw: they face Chinese wildcards Han and Lu in the first round, and if they win, they play first seeds Dulko and Pennetta in the second round.
