A very positive start in Bad Gastein’s mountain clay for Sarita, who stops by the reknown Austrain thermal city for the second consecutive year right after clinching her 2nd Singles finals in Bucharest. Again, she will be the top-seeded of the main draw this week, and will fight to defend semifinals.
Today, Sara has battled and easily won against the Byelorussian Aliaksandra Sasnovich – n.123 in women’s singles ranking. Compared to last year, Sara has been pleasantly surprised about courts conditions, which – she told us – are not that heavy and rough due to rain damages.
Next up tomorrow, Sara will take over Centre Court for the first match of the day (11am local time) against another young player coming from qualifications: WTA’s n.133, Maryna Zanevska from Ukraine.
