Sara is in the 3rd round at the US Open, in both singles and doubles. In the second round of the singles tournament she beat Vera Dushevina 6-0, 6-1. After the long match in the first round, this was a lot easier; the match was finished within 50 minutes. In the 3rd round Sara will face Olga Puchkova, for the first time in her career.

In doubles, Sara and Roberta struggled a bit in their opening match, but in the end they beat Lepchenko/Zheng 6-4, 7-5. The second round went a little smoother, and they beat Craybas/Scheepers 6-4, 6-2.
