After a long and difficult match, Sara is in the 3rd round in Madrid. In the second round she beat Sorana Cirstea 7-6, 2-6, 6-4. It was an up and down match from both players, but Sara held on and was able to get the win. The match was so close that Cirstea even won more points than Sara.
Sara’s 3rd opponent isn’t known yet; Julia Goerges and Varvara Lepchenko will play their second round match on wednesday.
Of course you can find pictures from the first two matches in Madrid in the photogallery.
Sara also writes a blog for the WTA site this week. So far there have been three entries, which you can find here.
