Tough going for Sara at the Australian Open – she lost her first round match 4-6, 4-6 to Carla Suarez Navarro. She said after the match that Suarez Navarro played really well, and her backhand caused her a lot of problems. She knew it was going to be a tough match, but she made too many errors and wrong decisions on the court, and her serve was bad today.

Sara also acknowledged that this will be a tough year for her, because after her amazing season in 2012, everyone has expectations now and the situation is different for her now. However, she also said she doesn’t mind if her ranking will drop, because 2012 is an unrepeatable year, and she’s not going to say “I want to win a Slam“, she just wants to find the right form again. And of course she will keep fighting for every match, like she has always done!

The tournament is not entirely over for Sara yet – on tuesday the doubles tournament starts and Sara and Roberta play Arvidsson/Larsson in the first round.
